Umag Region

As an overture to Istria, from the north-west side, will welcome you towns  Umag, Buje, Brtonigla and Novigrad, and they will immediately evoke the magic and uniqueness of Istria. This area will captivate you with its beautiful beaches of former fishing towns, and present developed tourist zones, and with spectacular views of the sea which you can find in the hinterland.

Close to Italy and Slovenia, on the Croatian side on the shore lies Savudrija. This small fishing village on the westernmost tip of Istria is also known for the lighthouse built way back in 1818. East of Savudrija, on a hill overlooking the open sea and the beautiful Adriatic Sea live the residents of the city Buje, a city known for its wine and olive oil. Nearby is the town of Umag, which is, in addition to its award-winning beaches, tourist offers that often include wellness and active vacation through sports and recreation, world famous for the Umag ATP tournament.
